OAKLAND, Calif., May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Renaissance School (TRS), a private Montessori school in Oakland, California for ages 2 years old through middle school, announces it has openings in its French Primary class for children ages four and five years old, born between September 1, 2007 and August 31, 2008.

The school, founded in 1992, offers a language immersion program. Students in the Primary years are introduced to either conversational French or Spanish. They are conversed with and instructed at all times in both English and the second language. Because they are taught by native speakers, children acquire the correct accent and language patterns. The written form of the language is introduced in both languages at this level allowing the children to learn to write and read by the end of that level.

At the Elementary level, students continue to develop conversational skills; read and write in the languages and deepen their appreciation of other cultures. At the Elementary level the third language is added, bringing to bear a genuine tri-language immersion program. The Renaissance School is believed to be the only Montessori school in the United States that offers a genuine three-language immersion program.
