Tropical, exotic, and palm trees are not typically things that come to mind when you think of Wisconsin but that will all change with the addition of Maui Wowi Hawaiian’s newest franchisee, Scott Shuda; bringing an island inspired atmosphere, fresh fruit smoothies, and premium Hawaiian coffees to the community of Mukwonago.

The town, a former Native American village, known by locals as “the place of the bear,” is located in South Eastern Wisconsin and is the perfect place for Shuda to begin a business he can finally call his own.

After many years of searching for the ideal venture that would allow him to lead the type of life he has always dreamed of, Shuda discovered Maui Wow; “The opportunities, the freedom, and the ability to have fun while still getting paid has always been a dream and Maui Wowi is the perfect vehicle to help accomplish this!” he said.

Shuda holds a degree in Business Administration and Marketing as well as one in Accounting, spending over 20 years working in the field. But Shuda says he’s not your typical accountant. He was raised in a family with strong work ethic. His parents were entrepreneurs and joined a company that allowed them to run their own business by means of selling the company’s products to clients. Shuda and his family managed to grow their small, at-home business into one of the largest in the region. They did so by working hard to build a loyal client base, fulfill orders, and develop excellent customer service.

“My mom and dad taught me that it is the personal touch and little extras that each owner, manager and employee contributes that sets their business apart from all the rest,” said Shuda.

Taking what he learned as a child and combining it with his education and work experience, Shuda plans to turn his little piece of paradise into a thriving business. He will begin with a mobile unit called a Ka’anapali Ca
