Evolve Media Corp.’s CraveOnline (http://www.craveonline.com), one of the fastest growing next-generation male lifestyle sites, announced today the upcoming launch of Crave Island—the ultimate gamer’s paradise—situated just outside of the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 5-7, 2012.
Following their world record breaking event at last year’s E3, CraveOnline is back to provide 2012 attendees a perfect escape for those seeking a gamer’s getaway. At the intersection of 12th and Figueroa, Crave Island is conveniently located across the street from the West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center, and will be open to the public until 9pm daily.
Once attendees enter the tent, they will feel as if they have been transported into an island oasis. While Crave Island provides a place to relax, there’s certainly no shortage of activities. Guests can watch the CraveOnline CosPlay Fashion Show featuring the likes of popular gaming personas strutting their stuff on the catwalk every day at 2pm and 5pm. Crave Island “vacationers” can also throw on a grass skirt, coconut bra, and choose one of three backdrops at the Green Screen Photo Booth! All attendees will receive a copy of their photo, have the chance to upload to Facebook, and view the image on the Crave Island custom destination.
At the Challenge A Pro-Gamer Station, sponsored by Gamma Labs, competition will be at an all time high, as hardcore gamers are invited to go head-to-head with the professional Gamma Gamers. The Gamma Girls will also be handing out samples of the Gamma Labs Pre-Training Formula. Through it all, one of 14 DJs will be spinning tunes over at Club Crave—while the CraveOnline Bikini Girls make sure that everyone gets “lei’d” with festive island inspired leis. If a different kind of recharging is in need, the CraveOnline Charging Station provides multiple units to charge all kinds of mobile devices—as well as a comfortable lounge for their owners.
All of the action will be brought back to the Crave Island custom destination on CraveOnline, where users at home can follow along. The site houses the latest videos and photos from the event, allowing users to catch up on Crave Island live tweets, vote for their favorite CosPlay contestant, view photos from the green screen photo booth, and read up on all 14 DJs.
“As an authority in the gaming world, Crave is proud to bring back the same strong offline presence to the E3 conference” said John Keefer, General Manager of CraveOnline and Vice President of Evolve Media Corp. “Between the CosPlay Fashion Show, green screen photo booth, and the chance to challenge a pro-gamer, our new offerings are bound to be a hit with fans—and make for another exhilarating event.”
