NEW YORK, June 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Kroton Educacional, a private-educational company in Brazil, leads the short list of winners for the upcoming IR Magazine Brazil Awards 2012 with nominations in seven categories - including the grand prix for best overall investor relations - small & mid cap.
Rounding out the grand prix nominations for best overall investor relations – small & mid cap are Banco ABC Brasil, EZTEC, Randon and Valid. Kroton Educacional was last year's winner of most progress in investor relations – small & mid cap.
In the category of the grand prix for best overall investor relations – large cap, five contenders - CCR, Cemig, Gerdau, Localiza and OdontoPrev - share the nominations.
Following Kroton Educacional closely in terms of number of nominations are Vale and Natura with five each. Vale, the Rio de Janeiro-based mining giant, was a four-time winner last year. Natura, the Cajamar-based skin care and cosmetic manufacturer, won best corporate sustainability last year. This year Vale and Natura will go head-to-head against each other in three categories: best annual report, best corporate sustainability and best investor relations for individual investors – large cap.
Winners of the IR Magazine Brazil Awards 2012 will be announced at the awards ceremony on July 2, 2012 at Sheraton Sao Paulo WTC Hotel.
