JOHNSTOWN, Pa., May 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., President & Chief Executive Officer of Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), announced today that CTC has been awarded an additional $1.4M to continue to support the US Forest Service Human Capital Management (HCM) Technology Branch. CTC has been supporting the US Forest Service since 2008. This brings the total contract value to more than $8M and extends the period of performance through November 2012.
Under this contract, CTC will provide business and information systems to support HCM efforts to reengineer its Human Resources business processes. Key HCM objectives include reduction in redundant systems, increasing collaboration and information sharing among employees; decreasing time spent on HR support functions and administrative tasks; increasing the number of support and administrative functions deployed Department-wide using technology; decreasing redundant support systems across agencies and/or mission; and increasing the consistent delivery of accurate and valid management reports and analysis.
"CTC is pleased to have an opportunity to continue to support the US Forest Service," said Mr. Sheehan. "We are proud to help the organization in its efforts to streamline its HR processes and technologies. As a large government agency, efficient processes regarding recruiting, training, workforce development, and resource management are vital components of taxpayer stewardship."
Current CTC efforts focus on project management and business process reengineering, including review of standard operating procedures, identifying system/process deficiencies, ensuring compliance with the Earned Value Management principles, and assisting in the assessment of Work Force Planning efforts.
"These additional funds are a testament to the performance of CTC personnel," explained Dr. Kamal Gella, CTC Program Manager for the US Forest Service project. "CTC team members have become a highly relied upon source of guidance and expertise on the HCM initiative."
