Composer, Musician John Gordon to Write Theme Song for Reality Series ''Toast Coffeehouse ...
PORT JEFFERSON, NY  (PRBuzz) June 1, 2012 -- Danish songwriter and producer John Gordon, who co-wrote the European smash pop hit "Satellite," a song which won the Eurovision Contest (an annual competition held among active member countries of the European Broadcasting Union) two years ago, has been tapped to write the theme song for upcoming reality television series "Toast Coffeehouse Confidential."

Gordon, who has a genuine passion for music, released his debut album in 1998 in collaboration with Lene Dissing. As part of the band Steam, they had great success in Denmark and Asia and the single, "Lover," was a smash hit.

Having toured with the band for several years, Gordon decided that it was the process of writing and producing that really made him tick. He started writing for other artists; to date his songs have appeared on more than 50 records worldwide. Many of his works have been featured in movies, television shows and used as signature music in several TV programs.

In 2008 he met Julie Frost, composer of the Black Eyed Peas' single "Just Can't Get Enough," and began a successful co-writing collaboration. Together they co-wrote the song "Satellite," performed by Lena Meyer-Landruth, which won the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo.

Over the years, Gordon has worked with other well-known artists including Katrina and The Waves, Julie Frost, David Ryan Harris and Mozella to name but a few.

"Toast Coffeehouse Confidential" follows the life of young entrepreneur Terry Scarlatos as he turns one of Long Island's most popular coffeehouses into a national franchise. At the center of the drama is Toast Coffeehouse, a hip hangout that serves up live music from up-and-comers along with local artwork, great coffee and delectable food. Toast's funky vibe draws Hampton's glitterati, big personalities plus quirky customers and staff.

Gordon joins British record producer John Ravenhall, founder and CEO of Johnny Boy Records, who is serving as music advisor for the show.

"This is truly an all-star team of musicians for 'Toast,'" said Kim Barnes, producer for Kudos Reality Television Development and Production, the company behind the show. "Music is an integral part of the Toast experience, and is a cornerstone for the show. We are thrilled to have John Gordon and Grammy nominated John Ravenhall on board."

"This is an exciting venture. Toast is a unique place with a fantastic vibe, with great people who make for interesting characters -- writing the theme song will be a pleasure," said Gordon. "I'm looking forward to watching the show when it's completed!"
